Our Bourbon Tastings

  • Craft Distilleries That Don't Suck

    Jonathan Kiviniemi

Jonathan Kiviniemi is a certified sommelier and a notorious figure in the cocktail and restaurant community in Louisville. As a representative for distributors, he has tasted some of the rarest and finest liquors available. His penchant for sharing the best, worst and strangest with friends has gained him a reputation for recognizing industry trends and hidden gems. In this tasting he will present four craft Bourbon whiskeys that have caught his attention.

  • The Effect of Aging: Decades In The Barrel

    Andrew MacKay

Andrew Mackay has been to a lot of places and he has also spent a lot of time in blending and tasting rooms of distilleries. With 25 years in the distilled spirits industry, that happens. His name appears on a few bottles, which happens less often. He is bringing an experiment in aging this year. Blends of spirits aged 8-15 years, 15 to 20 years and 20 to 30 years.

Let’s Talk Bourbon

Kentucky produces a whopping 95% of the world’s bourbon. Our distilleries produce 1.75 barrels a year for every citizen of the state. From downtown to the country, there’s a distillery for you.

Explore The City

If you have any downtime during the spiel, we highly recommend checking out any of the fantastic experiences across the city. You can visit the zoo, tour a museum, or even pay your respects to the Colonel himself, Harland Sanders.

Bon Appetit

It’s safe to say we love our food. Louisville has so many non-chain restaurants that you could eat at a new one every day for a year, and still miss out on a few. From pub food to vegan, we have something for everyone.
